Innanzitutto, diciamo che ogni gatto può imparare a usare la lettiera già dalle prime settimane di vita...Questo per chi ha adottato un gattino e ha paura che il cucciolo non usi la lettiera. Certamente, all'inizio sarà un rodaggio fatto anche di pipì sparse, ma poi tutto si sistemerà.
La prima cosa a cui pensare è il tipo di lettiera. Dal punto di vista ecologico, del risparmio (di tempo e denaro) e della salute, la lettiera 100% vegetale vince a mani basse sulla minerale. Ma vince anche dal punto di vista del gradimento dei mici. Infatti, ai gatti non piace mettere le zampe sulle lettiere con cristalli.
