Anche se il tuo gatto si accoccola su di te e si gode la comodità di divani e poltrone, resta sempre un po' wild. Il gatto domestico, infatti, è cambiato nel tempo e ha modificato alcune caratteristiche particolari dei felini.
Il gatto selvatico e il gatto domestico presentano, dunque, importanti differenze ma anche il micio più casalingo resta un predatore. Per questo, è fondamentale non dimenticarsi degli istinti e delle esigenze di un vero predatore. Alcuni esempi? Avere la situazione sotto controllo, potendo contare su porte aperte e su appigli alti, salti incredibili e velocità nell'afferrare la potenziale preda (che, in casa, diventa anche un qualsiasi oggetto).
Il lato più selvatico, che è in ogni gatto, va assecondato anche per quanto riguarda la sua avversione nei confronti di profumi e fragranze.
