Ormai gli eventi catastrofici dal punto di vista climatico sono inevitabili. Il pianeta sta collassando ed è necessario assumere un nuovo modello economico e imparare uno stile di vita che possa essere davvero sostenibile.
Rispettare la natura non passa soltanto attraverso comportamenti certamente virtuosi come la raccolta differenziata o l'acquisto di prodotti sfusi. Ma deve essere un cambiamento molto più profondo, un cambiamento di mentalità radicale.
Capire che su questo pianeta siamo ospiti e che dobbiamo convivere con tutte le altre specie viventi sullo stesso territorio, possibilmente in pace e rispettando ogni tipo di vita. Questo territorio sta morendo, a causa dell'intervento dell'uomo.
Oltre ai micro-comportamenti virtuosi, è ovviamente necessario un macro-cambiamento a livello strutturale. E su questo noi di Greencat non smetteremo mai di insistere. È necessario che tutti cooperiamo per chiedere a gran voce di salvare il salvabile.
I più grandi nemici dell'ambiente? I combustili fossili, i rifiuti e il consumo di suolo. Cosa fare? Diminuire l'utilizzo delle auto, favorendo l'uso di trasporti pubblici a basso impatto o scegliendo mezzi alternativi, ecologici. Al contempo, è necessario rivedere le città e i modelli urbani: preservare il verde e soprattutto gli alberi ad alto fusto, mettere uno stop al cemento, pensare ciclabili ampie e sicure, rendere il trasporto pubblico accessibile a tutti.
Nella quotidianità, è importante compiere scelte sostenibili che fanno stare anche meglio nell'immediato: muoversi a piedi o in bici, mangiare meglio e meno, comprare usato e in minor quantità, prendersi cura del verde e degli animali, usare prodotti a minimo impatto ambientale, contribuire a non consumare suolo e a diminuire le emissioni di CO2. Con l'attivismo e la consapevolezza si possono fare passi da gigante. E non è complicato.
Noi ci occupiamo del mondo del pet da tanti anni. Occuparsi del mondo degli animali significa per noi occuparsi per forza di cose anche della salute del pianeta. La lettiera Greencat è nata così: per non inquinare, per rendere concreto il concetto di economia circolare, per non consumare suolo (le lettiere minerali si producono invece scavando montagne) e per assicurare ai nostri amici felini un benessere davvero naturale e completo.

Climate catastrophic events are now inevitable. The planet is collapsing and it is necessary to adopt a new economic model and learn a lifestyle that can be truly sustainable. Respecting nature does not only pass through certainly virtuous behaviors such as separate waste collection or the purchase of bulk products. But it has to be a much deeper change, a radical change of mentality.
Understanding that we are guests on this planet and that we must coexist with all other living species on the same territory, possibly in peace and respecting all types of life. This territory is dying, due to human intervention. In addition to virtuous micro-behaviours, a macro-change at the structural level is obviously needed. And we at Greencat will never stop insisting on this. We all need to work together to clamor to save what can be saved. The greatest enemies of the environment? Fossil fuels, waste and soil consumption.
What to do? Decrease the use of cars, favoring the use of low-impact public transport or choosing alternative, ecological means. At the same time, cities and urban models need to be reviewed: preserving greenery and especially tall trees, putting a stop to cement, thinking about wide and safe cycle paths, making public transport accessible to all. In everyday life, it is important to make sustainable choices that make you feel even better in the immediate future: getting around on foot or by bike, eating better and less, buying second-hand and in smaller quantities, taking care of greenery and animals, using products with minimal environmental impact , help not consume land and reduce CO2 emissions. With activism and awareness, great strides can be made. We have been dealing with the pet world for many years.
Taking care of the animal world means for us necessarily taking care of the health of the planet as well.
